Treasury Wine Estates Quality Assurance Technician in 5355 Barossa Packaging, Australia

About the role

Based at TWEB Packaging Centre and reporting to the QA Lead, this role is responsible for performing microbiological tests on packaged products. The Quality Assurance Technician provides support to the site regarding product quality and food safety.

  • Implement and maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management system by reporting food safety hazards and quality problems as they arise

  • Check wine to bottle meets minimum chemical specification (BAF)

  • Perform routine microbiological tests on finished products and process samples

  • Conduct regular line audits to ensure the product is within specification, and provide support on guidance to address areas of non-conformance or concern

  • Complete & update records of basic hygiene testing on the line after sanitisation

  • Assist with line trials on nominated packaging components

About you

You have previous experience working in a laboratory, micro or food packaging facility. You can balance priorities to ensure HSE and Quality Right First Time (QRFT) are maintained while meeting production targets.

  • Familiarity with QA systems

  • Experience conducting microbiological testing

  • Exposure to packaging operations

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Previous experience using JD Edwards would be a plus
