About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Services Executive to join our Concierge Team in Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and register them as well as issuing room keys in the appropriate welcome booklet.

  • Set a high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, courtesy, performance, attitude, team work, guest & staff relations.

  • Supervise the Concierge Team and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operation.

  • Use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the hotel and /or its reputation.

  • Ensure that all staff are on duty on time and are in accordance with the hotels grooming standards

  • Be efficient in assisting guests throughout their stay with any requirements.

  • Ensure that the Guest Service Desk is manned, operationally prepared, and stocked at all times.

  • Maintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guest are disclosed to anybody.

  • Update all information given by guests into the Front Office PMS System in a timely matter and making sure that all required information has been provided.

  • Log and keep the immediate supervisor fully informed of all challenges, negative feedbacks or unusual matters of significance.

  • Introduce guests to the Hotel’s Loyalty Club Programme

  • Review the daily VIP arrivals list to ensure the correct rooms are allocated for VIP guests depending on their demands and Guest History feedbacks

Ensure timely delivery of amenities, luggage, gift items for arrival and in-house VIP and suite guests

  • Liaise with Transportation the airport pick-up timings to ensure all guests arriving with our Hotel cars are being met upon arrival by our Guest Relations Team

  • Liaise with Transportation for the airport drop off timings in order to ensure all VIP guests are escorted upon departure to our Hotel car

  • Coordinate with the Guest Services Executives to check the departure list for the following day – contact VIP guests to arrange airport transfers, if necessary.

  • Man the Guest Service - Concierge Desk

  • Attend to the special requests made by VIP guests either prior to, during, or after their stay.

  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel or luxury environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Flexible schedule to meet demands of hotel occupancy

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and with ability to exercise initiatives

  • Fluency in English and additional language (fluency in Russian is an advantage)
