Performs duties under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Leads. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Troubleshoot, repair malfunctions, dismantle devices, and fabricate repair parts to mechanical and electrical devices in operations, by using machine shop equipment, hand and power tools. Monitor the use and inventory of equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies; place and expedite orders. Answer and respond to mechanical maintenance calls for assistance. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Attend educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks to maintains technical knowledge. Performs building, lighting, and plumping repairs for the Facility, as needed. Communicate accurately and effectively with associates regarding irregularities and continuing maintenance needs. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Drive to other facilities, as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED 3 - 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Availability to work 2nd shift, Mon - Sat & overtime as needed. Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools, to include hoists, cranes, levels, plumb bobs, straightedges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must have valid driver\'s license. Must be 18 years or older.PREFERRED Electrical/Mechanical/Fabricating skills preferred HVAC experienceCOMPETENCIES Ethical Conduct Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity Attention to detail Knowledge of industry safety practices Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations. Ability to write legibly and clearly in English. Ability to effectively communicate with associates. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, knee, crouch, reach, push, pull, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and repetitive motions. Frequently required to sit. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
