Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager holds a critical role in the planning, management, and oversight of daily financial operations within the Accounting Department. They contribute to budget development, assist in cash flow forecasting, oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and facilitate communication with the parent company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements.

  • Overseeing external and internal audits for accuracy and compliance.

  • Assisting in closing entries and reserve estimates for precise financial reporting.

  • Ensuring consistency between sub-ledgers and general ledgers.

  • Managing financial aspects of physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments.

  • Maintaining compliance with bank covenants for financial health.

  • Timely filing of local tax returns (property taxes, sales tax, etc.).

  • Coordinating financial information required by the parent company, including effective communication with the Chinese parent company.

  • Undertaking ad-hoc financial duties as required by the CFO and/or CEO.

Job Skills Required:

To succeed in this role, the Accounting Manager should possess:

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly with excellent Excel skills.

  • Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with personal integrity.

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and regulatory issues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.

  • Excellent Excel skills are required.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.

  • Five years of experience in financial management.

  • Good knowledge of GAAP.
