Amentum BEAR Supervisor in Agana, Guam

Purpose and Scope:

The BEAR Base Supervisor is responsible for managing maintenance activities for WRM equipment including receipt, accountability, inspection, maintenance, and issue. Supervise the BEAR Base workshop which includes power production, electrical, refrigeration, and fabrication activities. Direct preparation of WRM assets for exercise or actual deployments. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and oversees periodic inspections and maintenance services on assigned assets.

  • Controls the acquisition of parts, tools and supplies to perform required work on assets.

  • Prepares WRM equipment for exercises or actual deployments.

  • Responds to inquiries concerning the status of assigned equipment.

  • Schedules and coordinates shop work assignments beyond the normal PMI schedule.

  • Plans, develops and implements procedures for WRM Equipment technical work.

  • Instructs and trains technicians and specialists in maintenance repair techniques, evaluates their work performance, and documents training records. Conducts training on the Amentum Quality Management System, safety, Material Safety Data Sheets, security awareness and other subjects in accordance with appropriate plans.

  • Coordinates the build-up of WRM assets to support exercise and real world contingencies.

  • Evaluates employee performance, resolves personnel problems, and initiates action to correct substandard performance.

  • Researches asset/equipment discrepancies and identifies them to the site manager.

  • Reviews Standard Basis Supply System (SBSS), supply documents to verify status of parts.

  • Reviews Contract Deliverables (DEL) to verify status of parts and serviceability of equipment.

  • Submits the local purchase supply documents to procure items such as test, and shop equipment, consumables etc.

  • Reviews and inventories Organizational Equipment Listings (OEL) and Contract Deliverables (DEL).

  • Provides cross-department assistance, when necessary, to supply, freight traffic, and to the site manager.

  • Submits department-related/specific reports as directed.

  • Manages TMDE and enforce the PMEL tool control program.

  • Operates material handling equipment as required.

  • Inspects Hazardous Materials within the assigned work center and coordinates with the appropriate office for the disposal of HAZMAT when required.

  • Performs other tasks and duties as directed by Amentum/ PACAF tasking.

  • May be required to assist in other departments when directed or requested to accomplish a specific task or project.

  • Performs other skilled or unskilled jobs as directed by the Manager or Superintendent.

  • Performs Temporary Duty (TDY) in the Area of Operations as required by PACAF/Amentum tasking.

  • Conforms to Amentum/PACAF safety, hazardous material, and quality standards.

  • Ensures all tools, personal protective equipment and clothing issued remain safe, secure and serviceable, reporting any deficiencies.

  • Assists in the erection, construction and operation of WRM refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and associated equipment to support real world exercises and contingencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Background in mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance required.

  • Requires experience in operating and maintaining electrical power production and associated equipment.

  • Experience managing personnel and understanding and implementing basic leadership skills are both a must.

  • 5 years’ experience in an equipment management or supervisory position required.

  • Hands-on experience with Harvest Falcon, Eagle, or BEAR assets preferred.

  • Experience with industrial safety and understanding and enforcing OSHA standards required.

  • Maximo experience preferred.

  • Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.

  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data associated with Harvest Falcon assets and related equipment required.

  • Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.

  • May be required to operate material handling equipment.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Work could be in an office, maintenance shop, or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

  • Potentially prolonged sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.

  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and be able to work under deadlines.

  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.

  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
