Automation Engineer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 24-00565 Salary Range: $90k - $110k Permanent Position with Benefits. Akron, Ohio plastic injection molding manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer skilled and knowledgeable with electro-mechanical assemblies, work cell organization and layouts, assembly procedures methods, tools, and fixtures. REQUIREMENTS • BSMET or BSEET strongly preferred • Programming of PLCs • Proficient with 3-D CAD to design mechanical and electrical automated systems • Understands Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines • Computer proficiency with Microsoft suite of products (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) • 5+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (plastic injection molding preferred) • Recommend mechanical and automated cost savings to production methods • Supervise and support Technicians ads needed • Solid mechanical, hydraulic / pneumatic plumbing, and electrical knowledge and skills • Troubleshoot production issues • Assist with new product quotes • knowledge of maintenance equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, injections molding equipment, building maintenance, preventative maintenance systems and techniques Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
