Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Alameda, California

Looking to match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks? This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position at a dynamic organization with a growing team might be right for you! The opening for a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Alameda, California area.

Key responsibilities

  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

  • Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

  • Execute full-cycle A/P

  • Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

  • Provide support to internal business partners

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Execute additional tasks as needed

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department Requirements - Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • Proficiency in Construction Accounting

  • Expense reports experience required

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

  • 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
