Assistant Director for Business Workforc in
Albany, New York
- Develop relationships with the business community for the purpose of determining the employment and training needs of local employers.
- Perform a variety of marketing activities focused on the business community.
- Perform the duties of an Account Representative with individual businesses and companies; assisting them with filling job openings, obtaining/arranging appropriate customized training funds, and developing and managing the various On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs. Responsible for executing and monitoring all training contracts with business customers.
- Through contacts with local employers, develop employment opportunities for the Capital Regions Career Centers job seeking customers. Provide case management and program advisement services to individuals referred to and/or employed through the OJT program.
- Sit on the Workforce Development Boards Business Services committee providing reports on outreach activities.
- Perform required data entry utilizing the One Stop Operating System (OSOS) to record and manage all program and customer activity.
- Represent the Executive Director in various meetings and events tied to business workforce development services.
Requirements:
- This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to build relationships and partnerships.
- 3-5 years experience in business, education, economic or workforce development.
