Misr Technology Services Jr. DevOps Engineer- Alex in Alex, Egypt
Job Responsibilities:
Building and setting up new development tools and micro-service infrastructure
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
Analyzes the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement.
Setup and administer new alarms and monitoring tools.
Recommends performance enhancements by identifying alternative solutions.
Troubleshooting and bug fixing of different micro-services and CI/CD pipelines.
Job Requirements
Previous work/training experience as a DevOps Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree
Working experience and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and/or Open Shift
Configuring system operations on amazon web services (AWS).
Compose infrastructure as code in a Terraform.
Familiar with Network and Security Fundamentals.
Hosting websites using mainly IIS and knowledge of Apache and Nginx.
Familiar with VMware and vSphere.
Installing and configuring windows servers (MCSA)
Information storage and management concepts
Good knowledge with Linux systems such CentOS, RedHat
Scripting or programming skills for automating tasks (Python, PowerShell)
Knowledge and experience with Configuration tools: Ansible, Puppet
Experience with monitoring stacks like ELK, Grafana/ Prometheus and/or Influxdb/ Telegraf
Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: GIT, SVN etc.
Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools: MS Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gitlab and/or Travis CI etc.
Familiarity with networking architecture (e.g. Load Balancing, TCP/IP, Routing)
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
