About the role

CBRE is looking for an Associate Project Manager to provide advanced administrative support to the project management team! The primary responsibility of this position is to support the business transition and relocation projects for corporate clientele. This is a position that will support the project team and/or project managers associated with corporate relocation projects.

Up to 20% of weekend and evening work requiring travel around the general DMV area

What you’ll do

  • Develop move database using Microsoft Excel to track and disseminate end-user move information

  • Gather and manage changes in Microsoft Excel

  • Use move database to develop pre-printed move labels and signage

  • Develop detailed move scope of work

  • Attend necessary move meetings. Issue meeting agenda and minutes

  • Coordinate and schedule move vendor activities, based off the move logistics plan

  • Provide on-site move supervision during the move activities

  • Coordinate post move process

  • Manage the implementation of and monitor adherence to project administrative practices and policies.

  • Build and maintain project policies and directives within the project operations manual.

  • Oversee team close-out procedures.

  • Prepare complex and special client reports as the need arises.

  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

  • Have a broad understanding of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job fields within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • Ability to quickly gather and understand detailed information about the client, and their industry and business operations

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Smartsheet is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
