But our commitment goes beyond our clients as we continue to live the Withum Way, promoting personal and professional growth for all team members, clients, and surrounding communities.How You’ll Spend Your Time:Managing and coordinating financial due diligence engagementsFocusing on quality of revenue for provider and payer transactions for our corporate and private equity healthcare clientsCoordinating with client management on diligence focus areas and provide real-time communications of issues and deal considerationsConducting discussions regarding business performance and forecasting assumptions with senior team managementCreating and tailoring analyses of target financial data to identify valuation and contractual matters for consideration in evaluating quality of earnings, normalized working capital, and items affecting future cash flowsWriting reports that set out our findings and recommendations around the key financial and business issues in a transactionIdentifying integration, separation and post-transaction transition issuesEngaging in relevant marketing and business development activitiesDeveloping and mentoring other team members and contributing to the ongoing development of M&A best practicesThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:Project management of financial due diligence engagementsAbility to analyze financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records, understanding the drivers of the business and conducting interviews with managementConstantly researching industry trends and technologies, as well as seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements to provide knowledge and insight to clientsHigh competencies with data interrogation techniques using excel and/or other software packagesTo qualify for the role you must have:A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 4+ years of related (M&A) work experience; supported by an active CPA certificationExperience with healthcare clientsSignificant public accounting experienceExcellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insightsThe ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and conceptsExcellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externallyMust be willing and able to travel up to 40% on short noticeIdeally, you’ll also have:A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions roleExperience gained within another large professional services organizationEstablished networking skills in a relevant industry.WithumSmith+Brown, PC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against otherwise qualified applicants on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, (including pregnancy), genetic information, marital status, domestic partnership status, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship status, national origin, disability or handicap, veteran status, weight, height, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
