We are seeking a compensation analyst to serve as a strategic partner, delivering expert compensation consulting across various business units. This role entails a close collaboration with HR Business Partners and key organizational leaders to craft, evolve, and oversee the execution of comprehensive compensation strategies. The compensation analyst is instrumental in conducting thorough job evaluations and performing detailed wage and salary analyses to ensure internal fairness, market competitiveness, and compliance with legal standards. Additionally, this pivotal position contributes to industry salary surveys, reinforcing the company’s commitment to maintaining equitable and competitive pay practices.

This role is a hybrid position working at least 2 days per month out of our Allen, TX, Lenexa, KS, Louisville, KY or Springfield, MO office.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Administers compensation policies and programs.

  • Assists in developing and implementing compensation policies and programs.

  • Conducts analyses of jobs, hourly wages, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the company's pay practices.

  • Conducts job analysis and recommends appropriate salary grades or market rates for specific jobs according to compensation guidelines.

  • Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.

  • Reviews and approves job transfers and promotions to ensure appropriate titles and levels are assigned to all employees based on the work required, prior experience, and other criteria.

  • Generates reports as requested using data from HRIS system downloads. Assists in the generation and analysis of compression reports, market adjustment reports, out-of-range reports, exemption change reports, etc.

  • Assists in the development, editing, and distribution of training and presentation materials for executive management meetings and compensation program roll-outs.

  • May prepare special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or stock options.

  • May advise management on compensation actions for employees.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

  • Strong Attention to detail.

    What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience with project management.

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.

  • Developing professional expertise. Works on a variety of complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.

  • General verbal and written communication, interpersonal, project management, decision-making, and time management skills.

  • Good presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Good understanding of HRIS systems.

  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Able to process, manipulate, and summarize reports.
