Cedar Fair Accounts Receivable Specialist in Allentown, Pennsylvania
This Full Time position prepares invoices, deposits, reconciliations and reconciles all Accounts Receivable accounts to the general ledger. Responsible for the compilation and reporting of daily attendance and revenue figures for Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.
Reconciles assigned Accounts Receivable (AR) and miscellaneous deposits
Reconciles assigned AR accounts to the General Ledger
Audits daily cash receipts to cash sales
Ensures revenue is coded accurately, making adjustments as necessary
Compiles attendance and revenue figures for daily distribution to upper management
Monitors on-line ticket sales for fraudulent activity
Review discrepancies in cashier over shorts with members of the revenue operations team
Complies information to respond to charge-back inquiries from bank
Investigates erroneous charges to credit cards reported by guests
Prepares weekly concession reports to accurately pay concessionaires
Completes check requests and collects payments from server tip errors
Prepares all park invoices using company purchasing system (JDE) and excel
Completes year end inventory audits
Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field
Must be at least 21 years of age
2 -4 years of related experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is essential
Knowledge of JDEdwards Oracle is helpful
Proficient in data entry
Ability to effectively prioritize, multi task and work independently.
Must be organized with an attention to detail
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to read, write and speak English at a level sufficient to conduct employee meetings, provide detailed direction to staff, guests and vendors: and write policies, procedures, reports and other business related documents and correspondence
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
Ability to pass a background check which will include but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law
