Job Description

An employer is seeking a highly organized and experienced Tax Consultant in the Alpharetta area, preferably with a strong background in accounting balancing, payroll processes, and project management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll tax filings, amendments, and reconciliation, while collaborating closely with sales and implementation teams to reconcile pay rates. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented approach to accounting balancing, with additional experience in payroll and project management to successfully handle multiple client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

 Balance accounting related to payroll tax processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation and reporting.

 Manage payroll tax processes, including tax filing, amendments, and reconciliation.

 Partner with sales and implementation teams to reconcile pay rates and resolve discrepancies.

 Handle project management tasks, tracking and managing accounting and payroll tax projects from start to finish.

 Communicate primarily via email with clients, and participate in strategically planned calls as necessary.

 Own and manage a book of business for smaller clients, ensuring timely and accurate payroll tax filings.

 Be assigned various accounts to handle filings, amendments, and reconciliation tasks.

 Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in client and team interactions.

Skills and Requirements

Strong background in accounting balancing with experience reconciling complex financial data.

 Knowledge and experience in payroll taxes (including tax filing, amendments, etc.).

 Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and accounts efficiently.

 Excellent communication skills, particularly through email and client calls.

 Experience managing client accounts and prioritizing tasks effectively.

 Positive attitude and professional demeanor in client-facing roles.

 Prior experience with banking (balancing experience), payroll tax knowledge, or project management all a plus null
