Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. If you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. To be preferred for this position, you will need to have a complex understanding Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Your responsibilities

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Month end closings experience highly desired

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience

• Bank Account Reconciliation experience

• Budgeting experience

• Strong familiarity with journal entries

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
