Hires, schedules, and supervises the staff team.GENERAL WORK SCHEDULE:40 hours per week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Manages wellness center operations and wellness programs. Ensures high quality experiences for members, establishes new program activities, and ensures program enrollment targets are met/exceeded.2. Develops and implements a program menu and operating schedule that encourages membership. 3. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Maintains accurate records of staff certifications. Provides training and leadership development opportunities.4. Plans and manages health fairs and coordinates monthly wellness seminars for membership and the community.5. Develops, manages, and controls budgets related to the position.6. Develops and maintains relationships with organizations and agencies related to assigned programs.7. Represents and promotes the YMCA at community events, meetings, and conferences related to wellness.8. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of programs. Responds to feedback to improve the member experience.9. Responsible for the cleanliness of program areas and provides adequate program supplies.10. Responsible for equipment maintenance and layout on the wellness floor.11. Follows and enforces safety procedures. Monitors daily operations to comply with all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations. Monitors and enforces department protocol to clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces and ensures PPE compliance.12. Implements the marketing plan and coordinates distribution of program information.13. Serves as a member of the YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.14. Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.2. Minimum of two years of related experience in a supervisory capacity.3. AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA certification.4. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.5. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.7. CPR/AED certification

Minimum Salary: 47,800 Maximum Salary: 47,800 Salary Unit: Yearly
