Back Office Administrator

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is looking for a full-time Back Office Administrator

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is a welcoming place with 330 hotel rooms, where guests find uncomplicated experiences in a casual atmosphere. Our purpose is to care for people, so they can be their best!

As Back Office Administrator you are part of the Front Office Team and there you will work together within a team of international, motivated and driven colleagues. You will be coached by experienced Team Leaders and Managers, who care about your personal development .

Responsibilities

· Back office Administrator are primarily responsible for room inventory to maximize selling opportunities at the Front Office (identify upsell opportunities).

· You bring your unique personality to our team of dedicated Front Office Hosts;

  • You actively control and balance our room availability using our Opera PMS system;

· You will be responsible for handling all rooms related group requests and assigning room blocks for groups and guest preferences.

· You will be our RESERVE system specialist;

  • You will ensure we collect all outstanding deposit on time

  • You will prepare all groups, airline crews and Hyatt member arrivals;

  • You will take care of our general email box and respond to all guest requeststhat come in through our various communication channels e.g. Booking.com messages, Medallia Concierge.

  • You will be attending sheet meetings and be responsible for briefing the rest of the FO team;

· You will also assist in the Front Office Operations including but not limited to: checking in guests, checking out guests, answering phones, monitoring Medalia Concierge messaging and HotSOS guest requests.

· In addition we offer 5 extra paid paternity days after 1 year of service.

· With our incentive program for breakfast upsell you can make between 10% and 20% on top of your salary over all breakfast's sold.

Qualifications

  • You have a European passport or Dutch working permit

  • You are fluent in English and have strong communication skills;

  • You are flexible working different shifts; morning and evening

  • You are passionate about hospitality;

  • You have an enthusiastic and caring attitude;

  • You have working experience as a Front Office Host;

  • You are familiar with OPERA and/or Micros.

Preferred qualifications

  • You have experience in a customer-oriented job;
