Philips Digital Communications | Internal Channels Internship in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Your role:

  • This is your opportunity to help Philips reach and engage thousands of employees and stakeholders with powerful internal communication.

  • You will be part of The Communications Center of Excellence (CCoE) is a team of content and channel specialists who oversee the sourcing, creation, management scheduling, publishing, and measurement of global Philips communications content and channels.

  • You will be creating and the sending of internal mass mails and newsletters

  • You will monitor and engagement in our internal social media communities (Viva Engage)

  • You will support the program to build our analytics and insights capability

  • You will drive creation of internal social content and online live events (Viva Engage r)

  • You will support internal customers how to publish of content on our channels and creating training materials for our internal channels

  • You will support the team in their various projects and daily job and you will be able to explore the agile way of working in a communications team supporting in the role as a scrum master

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO / University Master in Sciences (Msc.) WO in Communications or Marketing.

  • Fast and eager learner with a high motivation

  • Service Mindset

  • Team player and networker

  • Understanding CMS systems (SharePoint) and social media

  • Digital knowledgeable and up to date with latest digital trends

  • Fluent in oral and written English

This internship gives you the possibility to learn about the many aspects of a communication job in a large, international company. You can participate in different projects and have your own set of responsibilities. You will learn how to work agile within a communications team. You will have an assigned mentor, a more senior team member, who will help you navigate your internship including help to create and reach your personal growth goals. You will be surrounded by seasoned experts in multiple disciplines, including content creation, channels management, activation and analytics; all open to support you and help you grow professionally. Next to that, we are offering a decent internship package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net.

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop.

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.

Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
