Description

We are seeking a meticulous Accounting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying data accuracy, and preparing general ledger entries. They will also assist with various accounting tasks such as daily payroll entries, month-end accruals, and answering accounting and financial inquiries from auditors and other departments. The role involves providing accounting support for multiple departments including purchasing, maintenance, and production, as well as managing year-end budget information. Additionally, the Accounting Analyst will ensure the confidentiality of organizational information and conduct month-end/quarter-end spare-parts inventory, physical inventory counts, and daily bank deposits.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain spreadsheet reports to analyze information and options.

  • Verify accuracy of information and data.

  • Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.

  • Manage daily payroll entries and month-end accruals.

  • Research and interpret accounting and financial data to answer inquiries from auditors and other departments.

  • Provide accounting support for departments including purchasing, maintenance, and production.

  • Assist with year-end budget information management.

  • Ensure the confidentiality of organizational information.

  • Conduct month-end/quarter-end spare-parts inventory and physical inventory counts.

  • Utilize check scanner for daily bank deposits.

  • Enter freight invoices on a daily basis.

  • Perform Freight by State analysis using Excel for month-end reporting.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience in accounting or financial analysis role.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Experience in inventory management and bank deposit processes preferred.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations.
