Denali Staffing Group Laborer Lead in Anchorage, Alaska

Our Client is now hiring for Labor Lead!

The Labor Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of construction laborers on job sites. Working under the direction of project managers or supervisors, the Labor Lead is responsible for assigning tasks, providing guidance and training to laborers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining efficient workflow to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

KEY RESONSIBILITIES:

    1. Supervise and lead a team of construction laborers, assigning tasks and coordinating work activities.
    1. Train and mentor laborers on proper construction techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
    1. Monitor work progress to ensure tasks are completed according to project specifications and timelines.
    1. Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
    1. Assist with various construction tasks as needed, including digging, carrying materials, and operating equipment.
    1. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members to coordinate work activities.
    1. Operate and maintain construction tools and equipment.
    1. Promote teamwork, motivation, and a positive work culture among the labor team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction-related fields are a plus.
    1. Proven experience as a construction laborer with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    1. Strong knowledge of construction processes, tools, and equipment.
    1. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
    1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    1. Ability to work well in a team environment and lead by example.
    1. Physical stamina and strength to perform various construction tasks.
    1. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
