Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This position is located in Dexter MI and is 100% fully onsite. Pay up to $24/hr

Accounts Payable Specialist

• Initiate invoices and debit memos for payment with limited supervision, taking on extra responsibilities such as problem resolution.

• Prepare supplier invoices and debits for payment by matching the invoice with required documentation according to existing procedures.

• Facilitate banking transactions for supplier payment such as foreign exchange transactions and wires.

• Assist internal and external contacts via correspondence and telephone conversations, answering questions, solving problems, or training on policy as it relates to Accounts Payable.

• Review monthly supplier statements ensuring all invoices referred are scheduled for payment.

• Independently identify transaction problems in supplier accounts and take action to resolve.

• Coordinate receiving updated W9s.

• Miscellaneous other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Post Secondary Accounting Degree desirable.

• Minimum of 3 years Accounts Payable or Equivalent experience, including experience with an Oracle, Fourth Shift, Xero or equivalent AP system.

• Experience with multiple currencies is a plus.

• 10 key proficiency Good understanding of general accounting terms and concepts.

• Good communication & organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to fix the root cause of discrepancy independently.

• Good customer service skills with established organizational contacts.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word Requirements Accounts Payable (AP), IRS W-9 Forms, Debit Memo, Code Invoices, Customer Invoices, 3 Way Matching, Microsoft Excel
