What You’ll Get to Do:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analyze unstructured and structured data, data tagging, event processing, and the application of analysis algorithms on clustered and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures.

  • Develop analytics against data collections of data and data streams. Has the ability to make discoveries in the data.

  • Demonstrate strong technical and computational skills - engineering, physics, mathematics, coupled with the ability to code design, develop, and deploy applications.

  • Be able to utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions.

  • Exercise creativity in applying non-traditional approaches at-scale for data

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.

  • Shall have at least 2 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

  • Shall have demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.

  • Shall have at least one (1) year of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, et cetera.

  • Shall have at least two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph required

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • GoLang, Python, Java,Hadoop, Accumulo

  • Experience with core AWS services

  • Good background in Linux/Unix administration

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Having used EMR, EC2 and various Databases is a plus

  • Experience writing MapReduce

  • Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications
