Eaton Corporation Surplus Coordinator- 1st Shift in Arden, North Carolina
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Surplus Coordinator- 1st Shift at our Arden, NC site!
Shift Hours: 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage the Surplus Inventory
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manage and maintain accurate INV of surplus material
• Complete Rack Audits on surplus stock
• Cross Train as back up for Consignment Coordinator
• Pull and deliver material to production as required in a timely manner
• Assist in material handling for production flow
• Additional systems access and training required
• Effectively use windows-based programs as well as AS400 and VISTA
• Ensuring accurate transactions in and out of surplus for job specific material
• Recognizing urgent requests from Supervisors and production employees with immediate action upon those requests
• Ability to support the Material Handling Team when needed
• Use of CI to improve the way we pull, store and catalog surplus material
• Safely operate PIV equipment and adhere to added safety precautions
• Complete Daily Pre-Use Inspection of PIV equipment for damage or wear that would deem it unsafe to operate. Reporting any findings to supervisor or Maint. immediately
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Arden, NC. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-year Associates Degree – highly preferred
• Previous Supply Chain and/or Surplus / Warehouse Experience.
Skills:
Position Criteria:
• Understanding of Kanban and other internal stock control methods
• Ability to deal with suppliers, supervisors, etc. in a professional manner
• Ability to work with internal customers, supervisors, and planners and changing schedules
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams across plant and corporate entities
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented
• Required to work flexible hours – overtime including weekends as necessary
• Must have appropriate written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with reading and looking up Bill of Materials (BOM’s)
• Experience with AS400, MAPICS, Vista, and Enovia
• Computer experience – Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Able to lift, carry up to 35 lbs.
