Job Description

Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist

12 month Fixed term Contract

Location: Arklow or Cherrywood Office.

Main tasks:

  • Responsible for reviewing Ireland monthly payroll process, from data input stage to post calculation stage.

  • Cooperating with an outsourced payroll provider to calculate salaries for approx. 1300 employees in Ireland.

  • Supporting Payroll Team members.

  • Cooperating with benefit providers including monthly oversight of benefit administration.

  • Ensuring documentation regarding payroll/ benefits is accurately filed.

  • Monitoring MyHR tickets to ensure SLA timeframe is met.

  • Identifying areas for improvement from a technical / administrative perspective.

  • Review of information and reports as required for Finance/other departments.

  • Ability to handle external and internal ad hoc requests (reporting, additional tasks, additional analysis).

  • May be required to support / be responsible for additional country(ies).

  • Working as part of our Payroll/Benefits Team and providing back up cover for absences within the wider European Payroll Team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in similar Payroll & Benefits position at a senior level.

  • Knowledge of other European payrolls will be an advantage.

  • Excellent knowledge of English written and oral. Excellent communication skills required to manage internal and external relationships.

  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite particularly Excel.

  • Knowledge of Workday will be a distinct advantage.

  • Experience in working with an outsourced payroll provider will be an advantage.

  • Strong Problem solving and Analytical skills required.

  • Flexibility and a willingness to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs.

  • Ability to work under pressure, fast-changing priorities and to meet deadlines.

  • Appropriately identify and manage risks, in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and internal policies.

  • The ability to work well within a team, motivate and empower others.
