To Provide Sub-journeyman work in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair, tasks on one or more areas. Responsible for make ready duties in apartments and resident halls, maintenance and repair work of plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, air conditioning and refrigeration, landscape, furniture and equipment moving. Also responsible for the training of maintenance workers Iand#x2019;s..Performs maintenance repair work on heating and air conditioning equipment. Performs semi-skilled electrical work.Conducts daily Inspections of assigned areas and makes repairs where necessary. Performs preventative maintenance for life safety and security devices.Performance emergency mechanical repairs until journeyman or supervisory personnel arrive.Performs routines work orders to make repairs and to building systems.Respond to storm and weather related needs for campus.Performs related duties as required.#LI-DNI#LI-DNP.Two (2) years of experience in performing a variety of sub-journeyman maintenance and repair tasks or the equivalent experience.and#xA0;This job requires a Texas class and#x201C;Cand#x201D; driverand#x2019;s license.and#xA0;Ability to effectively execute oral and written instruction..High School diploma or GED.and#xA0;Three plus (3+) years of experience in preforming a variety of sub-journeyman maintenance and repair tasks.
