Job Summary
Provide management consulting, operational excellence and product/process engineering solutions to accelerate the profitable growth and competitiveness of Texas manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop and commission custom automation and design for industrial machine systems and layouts. Improve operational efficiency/effectiveness of manufacturing and industrial processes in order to develop well-conceived/managed improvements using lean manufacturing techniques and using Six Sigma tools. Advise on the latest engineering techniques and best practices regarding internal and external quality of product, resource utilization, workforce development, facility layouts, innovation, environmental soundness, strategic/operational planning, continuous improvement, supply chain, new product development/commercialization and measurement systems in order to achieve productivity. Assess operations, understand the problem(s), develop solutions, and prepare a written response. Participate in engineering projects to ensure the cost, schedule and performance expectations are met; conduct milestone reviews and complete after the action reports.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Quality and Productivity Systems.
