Does the prospect of empowering these agencies cloud transformation success by aligning professional services to critical business and IT outcomes, overseeing and assessing engagement delivery, driving a holistic partner strategy and providing insight to accelerate rate of execution/adoption of cloud technology excite you?

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is looking for Enterprise Service Managers (ESM) that can manage the working relationship with our customers, develop a long term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy within those accounts. The ESM is a trusted advisor for our largest and most committed customers. The role includes all aspects of business development, relationship development, delivery oversight and program management in those accounts.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

  • Long term development of large, complex, and distributed enterprise organizations

  • Engage with customers to understand their business drivers and application portfolio

  • Development of long term Cloud Strategy for customers

  • Identify & develop specific opportunities and supporting business cases

  • Deal shaping, including estimations and deal pricing

  • Planning and implementation of a portfolio of projects, including forecasting pipeline

  • Mitigation of delivery risks & issues

  • Overseeing delivery of projects in account, ensuring high quality delivery

  • Educate customers on AWS services and translate those into a clear business value proposition

  • Insisting on the highest standards for ProServe Sales

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience, external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience, as well as consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience

  • 2+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations with Profit and loss (P&L), account, or large program management experience in the U.S. Federal market.

  • Enterprise business or sales experience with a strong understanding of government procurement and government contract vehicles and experience identifying, shaping, winning, and executing U.S. Federal competitive opportunities.

  • Experience managing pipeline forecasting across a portfolio of customers

  • Experience responding, reviewing, or writing proposal responses to RFxs.

  • Experience and strong understanding of cloud technologies.

  • Experience using Salesforce, Excel, and other business productivity tools.

  • 1+ year of experience with US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and US Government contracting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
