Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and performance of our projects. Key responsibilities include:

Project Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain the work breakdown structure within the accounting system to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial activities in line with regulatory guidance and contract terms.

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis for both government and commercial contract projects.

  • Forecasting and Trend Analysis: Prepare forecasts and conduct financial trend analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Independent Work: Gain exposure to complex tasks and work independently to drive financial performance and compliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Financial Analysis Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in financial analysis.

  • Forecasting Expertise: Proven experience in forecasting financials up to 3 years out.

  • Industry Experience: Experience working in mid to large-sized companies (a few million in revenue).

  • Government Contracting: Familiarity with government contracting, including managing $30-60 million in revenue.

  • Contract Types: Experience with Fixed-Price (FFP) and Time & Materials (T&M) contracts.

Job Type:

  • Contract-to-Hire: This position is initially a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire.

Work Environment:

  • Team Structure: Report directly to the Financial Manager and collaborate with a team of three other Financial Analysts.

  • Remote Work: Fully remote position, but candidates must be local to the Northern Virginia area.
