You Are:

Th Governance and Accountability Manager work will support the Governance Senior Manager within the CISO organization to provide control and management of security and compliance matters.

The ideal team member will be responsible for advising on policy implications due to technical strategies, ensuring alignment with governmental and organizational goals, and facilitating collaboration. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership as well as expertise in federal IT regulations and processes.

Responsible for overseeing the ongoing governance of AFS’s security requirements, frameworks, policies and standards, the candidate will be required to actively collaboration with a variety of different technology teams within AFS to understand the varying architecture, incorporate new or adjusted government requirements, and suggest models and templates for the AFS enterprise to successfully maintain technical documentation such as boundary diagrams, configuration management, policies and standards.

The Governance and Accountability Manager will be responsible for the ongoing alignment, updating, and mapping of Accenture Federal Services security policies and standards to industry control frameworks (including 800-171, 800-53, DHS requirements, DOEd and IRS requirements, etc.) and security frameworks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain compliance pertaining to specific governmental regulations, including international technology and legals reviews which may impact the way AFS operates with our corporate parent.

  • Ensure technical recommendations align with relevant government policies, regulations, and standards, including data privacy and security requirements.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical governance and share knowledge and insights with relevant stakeholders.

  • Work with team to communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and other communication channels.

  • Develop and implement technical strategic initiatives to support federal agencies.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, technical teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex technical issues, including systems architecture, data management, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

  • Support the evaluation of modernization projects and champion standardization and system efficiencies.

  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to technical implementation and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation within cross-government initiatives and lead initiatives to implement changes.

  • Supervise and motivate junior team members for creating, updating and managing security governance documentation to include policies, standards, configuration guides, SOPs, etc.

  • Stay up to date on the state of enterprise IT and IS tools, trends, and processes.

  • Identify to leadership areas of material exposures, operational events, and areas of strategic improvement.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's What You Need:

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral), attention to detail and interpersonal skills

  • Experience presenting complex technical information to decision makers and leading them through the decision-making process.

  • Work independently to deliver timely solutions without direct supervision.

  • 5+ years’ experience in A&A, risk assessments and management, security operations or other operational functions

  • Strong understanding of FedRAMP, CMMC and NIST publications such as 800-53 and 800-171

  • Experience in cyber risk and controls.

  • Experience with cybersecurity assessments.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g. Xacta, CSAM, RSA Archer, eMASS)

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$103,200—$213,600 USD
