Grant Thornton LLP Journeyman Management Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Primary Responsibilities:

The resource will develop and refine workload models. These models will be based on aggregated data structures and staffing analysis methodologies for those aspects of workload. Further refine existing visualizations by enhancing granularity of analysis and mapping of sub-location workload. Translate business problems into technical solutions by using a range of analytics techniques. Build external workload drivers as such partner agency workload and economic factors into existing models, by integrating data in a variety of formats and sizes from multiple other agencies to develop cross-agency interdependencies. Guide in improving data completeness nationwide. Collaborate with end users and agency leadership to identify needs, goals and metric measurements to create easy-to-understand interfaces allowing for quickly identification of key themes within the data.

Experience: Expertise in client-facing role. Experience leading meetings, delivering presentations and leading small teams. Strong communicator with solid interpersonal skills and good time management. Experience in workload modeling (preferred but not required).

Skills/Technologies: R, Tableau (preferred but not required)

Qualifications:

  • 3+ year of relevant work experience

  • Clearance required: Dept. of Homeland Security Position of Trust

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

  • U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Ability to work overtime required on occasion.

  • Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.

  • Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
