Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Department, Mission Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities You will be responsible for planning and managing the total logistics/maintenance program You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and readiness of assigned systems, while reducing the Navy’s total cost of ownership. You will perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems. You will develop and approve logistics maintenance requirements analyses You will determine causes for problems and either develops programs or gives direction to resolve logistics deficiencies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements; 2) Determining modification/retrofit impacts as a result of changes submitted through change boards; 3) Determining the impact to fielded aircraft in terms of decreased sorties over time and number of days aircraft will be out of service for modification incorporation, and; 4) Determining which modifications can be done concurrently and make recommendations on the best time to incorporate modifications based on fleet operations and requirements.
