Saliense has a new opportunity for a Mobile Application Security Engineer to support the U.S. Marshals in Arlington, VA.

This is a hybrid position that requires 2 days onsite every other week in Arlington, VA.

Mobile Application Security Engineer must have proven experience (i.e., a minimum of five (5) years) with performing security, compliance, and risk assessments on mobile devices and mobile applications. At a minimum, the Mobile Application Security Engineer shall have hands-on knowledge of current mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, etc.), mobile device design architecture, and mobile application source code testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics necessary to ensure USMS mobile devices are securely configured in accordance with industry best practices and/or DOJ guidelines.

  • Perform both functional and threat analysis of mobile applications proposed for use across the USMS mobile enterprise as part of the agency mobility risk assessment process.

  • Conduct technical security assessments, audits, penetration testing, and forensic IT functions of both mobile devices and mobile applications.

  • Provide direct technical support in the performance of security assessments, audits, penetration tests, and forensic IT functions for client/server systems (native and virtual), databases, networks, and vehicle/appliance technology systems.

  • Perform oversight and management of mobile device configuration profiles in support of the USMS international travel program.

  • Provide expert mobile device hardening and mobile application source code analysis to ensure devices and agency information are protected and able to support its various missions.

  • Provide security consultation and support to other IT branches in the planning and execution of information technology mobility projects.

  • Draft and/or review mobility governance documentation for accuracy and adherence to policy and industry best practice.
