GCyber Project Execution Manager in Arlington, Virginia
GCyber is actively seeking a seasoned Project Execution Manager to lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects within a dynamic DoD IT environment supporting our high-visibility federal client. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid background in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion while managing risks and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
As a Project Execution Manager, you will:
Spearhead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations.
Lead and mentor a diverse project team, fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budget reports, and risk management plans.
Implement effective risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery and outcomes.
Maintain continuous communication with senior clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, potential challenges, and proposed solutions.
Oversee the project budget, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure financial efficiency and accountability.
Make informed decisions under pressure, addressing and resolving project issues swiftly to maintain momentum and project timelines.
Ensure adherence to DoD IT environment standards and processes, including compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Active Secret Clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer sciences, business management, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred, showcasing a strong academic foundation in project management and IT.
7+ years of experience as a Lead Project Manager, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery in complex environments.
7+ years of experience within a DoD IT environment, providing an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of working in defense-related IT projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Exceptional managerial, leadership, and communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams and engaging with high-level stakeholders.
Proven ability in monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and financial accountability.
A solid understanding of business cases, risk management processes, and the ability to navigate complex decision-making scenarios.
