Job Summary:

Akima Data Management is looking for a Project Manager II to work in Arlington, Virginia. Applicants should have previous Special Access Program (SAP) experience and preferably experience writing policy documents at the DoD level. Other skills include an understanding of DoD design, architecture, interoperability (including international) standards, capability development, implementation and the sustainment of the SAP enterprise. Job Responsibilities:

  • Requires knowledge of DoD programs, policy and oversight processes.

  • Researching, analyzing, and evaluating policy and programs.

  • Works both independently and with a policy team writing revisions to policies and programs in the SAP enterprise.

  • Portfolio management.

  • Leads focus teams, writing issue papers; and completing program reviews.

  • Writes responses to Congressional, Inspectors General, and other stakeholders' reports and audits, Legislative, Executive, and other Federal document review support.

  • Project Management.

  • Supports the technical management for intermediate to complex organizational change.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience working on Defense programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in management, engineering, or related field).

  • Must have an active TS clearance and be SCI eligible.

  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Understand how to leverage analytics and basic analytics tools.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable coordinating with senior DoD officials.
