The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Communications team:

The Senior Manager, Employee Engagement Communications is a strong writer and strategist, with the ability to develop, lead, and execute various integrated communications plans aligned to both business and employee initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative, driven and enthusiastic strategic communicator who is experienced in client and project management with the ability to lead projects in a matrixed organization.

What You Will Do

  • Supports ES Business Services leader by developing executive communications plans, as needed to further support enterprise employee experience.

  • Serves as strategic advisor to the Business Services leadership team, which includes domain areas such as Financial Services, People Services, Payroll Services, Procurement & Program Services, and Print & Proposal Services.

  • Creates and executes enterprise and targeted communications plans that educate employees about changes that have impact to the RTX employee experience.

  • Partners closely with Communications leads across the function to align on timing, tone and intent of content that informs various employee populations about Business Services tools, initiatives and programs. This includes communications that need to be customized for a function and/or BU specific audience.

  • Serves as Business Services subject matter expert for team members across Communications.

  • Some travel may be required to support leadership team meetings, in-person events, and engagement opportunities with the head of ES Business Services.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.

  • Previous experience developing, executing and measuring internal communications strategies, with exceptional written, verbal, and social communication skills.

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the aerospace and defense industry.

  • Demonstrated interest in seeking out innovative approaches to audience engagement.

  • Self-starter with a natural curiosity and drive to bring projects to completion.

  • Adept at building relationships in a remote/hybrid environment.

Minimum Program Qualifications

To qualify for the RTX Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

  • Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
