The Amazon Business Enablement, Change Management, and Communications (ECMC) Team is seeking a Sales Trainer who can build and deliver sales-focused training content to customer facing sales roles and drive their success with their enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales/enablement background, superior program management skills, and a history of designing and delivering high-quality sales training programs. This role will design and deliver engaging and dynamic new hire training programs as well as targeted, upskilling training programs for tenured salespeople. This role will collaborate with the broader sales enablement team on projects that remove barriers and accelerate sellers’ success.

This role is located at Amazon’s Headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Key job responsibilities

• Design and deliver sales training for Amazon Business customer facing teams including Sales and ProServe; skills include customer engagement, sales methodology, internal sales tools, Amazon Culture, etc. Trainings will target new hires and tenured staff.

• Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials in multiple modalities, e.g. live and eLearning delivery

• Identify top challenges across Amazon Business (AB) that are preventing salespeople from delivering results and ensure those concepts are included in the appropriate learning pathways

• Partner with other ECMC team members to create programs, tools, and resources that help sales roles solve persistent challenges and overcome blockers (online job aids & references, instructional content that supports classroom training events, and designing content for e-learning solutions)

• Seek input and partnership from the diverse set of stakeholders (Sales Leadership, Sellers, Sales Operations, etc.), that have a stake in Amazon Business Enablement programs

• Define onboarding/training KPIs and ensure they are aligned to Sales KPIs, e.g. Productivity

• Develop, manage, and collect data that contributes to monitoring the performance of training programs; iterate continuously based on these metrics

• Support additional Sales Enablement projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • 5+ years of B2B Sales Experience

  • 4+ years of experience facilitating training or delivering Sales Enablement programs including Sales Methodology, Salesforce training, and/or business skills programs to sales audiences

  • Current experience with Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or online training tools such as WebEx and Adobe Connect

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience, independently designing and managing budget and deadlines

  • Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with scoping and defining requirements for sales improvement projects

  • Experience with recording or editing in training software tools

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and managing internal stakeholders

  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per month to deliver training to audiences across the US and Costa Rica

  • Ability to deliver training content in Spanish is a plus
