About the role

Diageo invest significantly in direct to consumer brands building, but we have to partner with our customers to influence the point of purchase activation. In order to guarantee the first step of execution which is distribution, Diageo partners with more than 1500 wholesalers, distributors and cash&carries to do what we call the sell-through of our brands. It becomes even more exciting when you think about the different types of outlets such as nightclubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and the ability to distribute a different minimum assortment, optimum assortment and innovation for each one of them. In that space, the role is in charge of accelerating the growth of almost 70% of the revenue of the region.

In this role you'll:

  • Own the overall distribution and route to market in Greece

  • Assess the partners capabilities with clear segmentation

  • Orchestrate with Marketing and Category Development the key fundamentals drivers to be driven in the channel

  • Build plans to support the customers to prioritize Diageo brands

  • Implement long term platforms with a win-win approach to differentiate Diageo and craft the future with key partners. (Example: Pay for Performance, Rewards, Incentives…)

  • Guarantee continuous improvement and data driven systems to keep developing a balanced and informative business.

  • Build the activation plans with on-trade outlet centric schemes to improve distribution, availability during seasonality and basic POS materials. (Example: Promoboxes, innovation free-goods….)

  • Complete the sales force briefing of the commercial calendar ensuring the team is fully equipped to win with the provision and selling tools and assets in line with customer activation timings

  • Set bold activation KPIs across activities, coordinate delivery and lead course correction and recommend new ways of working to constantly improve

  • Ensure robust M&E is in place, to develop comprehensive understanding of behavior change and corresponding drivers of financial performance

  • Support the O&R process with Channel Director and finance to enable Diageo to deliver its financial targets ensuring optimum deployment of A&P and efficient management of the customer activation budget with the goal of constantly improving the return on investment

  • Co-lead and define performance tracking systems

About you

Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages

  • As of 5 years of confirmed experience in Sales or Trade Marketing in FMCG companies. Ideally with distributors/C&C customers.

  • Knowledge of the Greek market.

  • Project Management, Analytical and core selling skills

  • Time management & prioritization skills

  • Can build powerful relationships and work collaboratively within a team

  • Problem solver & solution-based extraordinary teammate who can deal with ambiguity & adapt quickly

  • Proficiency in Greek and English.
