Starr RegionalMedical Centeris currently seeking talent to fill the position of Registered Nurse (RN)for ourWomens / Med-SurgDepartment.This job is permanent,full-time.
Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient'scondition.
- Establishesa plan of care which isappropriate toproblemsidentifiedand involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
- Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assignedshift.
- Assistsin Determining staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patientacuityand work/patient flow.
- Provides direct patient care as needed.
- Floats between staff toassistwith problem-solving.
- Takes patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care andidentifiesany issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Responds to complaints about patient care and relatedservices, andmanages through established channels.
- Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
- Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.

Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree in Nursing: □ Preferred X Required Bachelor’s degree: X Preferred □ Required
Required Licenses[Tennessee, United States] Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
