Advanced Software Engineer

Advanced Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Atlanta, GA)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Design, develop and integrate highly complex software applications within Honeywell.

-Serve as an active and integral member of a team to achieve the completion of goals.

-Generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

-Involved in any or all the phases of the software development starting with customer interaction and elaborating the requirement to prototype, design, coding, testing, deploy and support within the agile development framework working with other senior developers in the team.

-Job Site: Atlanta, GA

-40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field and 2 years of software engineering experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field and 5 years of software engineering experience. Full term of experience must include: experience in system administration, application development, infrastructure development; demonstrated expertise in building and managing highly scaled production infrastructure in the cloud (Azure or AWS); experience in RDBMS and columnar; experience in handling any type of large scale distributed data management systems (Influx, Cassandra, Druid, Elastic); experience in APM tools like App dynamics, Prometheus & Grafana; experience in infrastructure automation using Terraform & Ansible; experience in multiple programming languages like python, node JS & java; experience in continuous integration & deployment; experience in managing the workload on Kubernetes like AKS & Openshift; experience in managing API gateway; experience working in DevOps or site reliability practices. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 times per week.
