The Associate Director of Campus Life Special Projects is a three-year fixed-term position that reports to the Chief Business Officer. This position assists the Chief Business Officer with development, leadership, and oversight of a variety of projects to support the entire Campus Life Division.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Key Responsibilities: Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of Campus Life special projects from start to finish. Conducts outreach and builds strategic relationships both within Campus Life and outside to further Campus Life's objectives.

  • Provides oversight of emerging initiatives and strategic projects on ad-hoc or permanent basis as needed. Assists with evaluation of emerging initiatives in Campus Life by working with data teams in Campus Life, Institutional Research, and other campus partners.

  • Conducts and presents cost-benefit analyses to guide the adoption of new Campus Life initiatives. Serves as strategic thought partner to the Chief Business Officer through the lens of student flourishing priorities of Campus Life.

  • Serves as part of the leadership team for the Chief Business Officer. Assists in coordination of training, and other professional development opportunities for Campus Life Support Services, exploring opportunities to broadly disseminate knowledge to Campus Life leadership.

  • Serves as the primary liaison with Barnes & Noble and other vendors, managing the Bookstore contract, and addressing general inquiries. Develops and oversees programs that enhance student engagement with the Bookstore, including creating a vision, fostering partnerships, and evaluating program success.

  • Works with Assistant Director of Dining Operations to manage facility requests and facilitate student hires, and acts as liaison support for the Emory Bookstore. Monitors financial performance of the Bookstore and administers the bookstore operating budget at Emory.

  • Works directly with Campus Life HR to assist with Bookstore needs related to student employees. Acts as liaison for the Bookstore and Emory Campus Services for all work requests, repair, maintenance, and facility needs. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in student affairs or related field, and five years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
