How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

The Co-op - Corporate Safety- Alliance Safety will be based in Atlanta, Georgia . This position will support the Alliance Safety department and can expect to gain hands-on experience in monitoring, collaborating and evaluating Delta’s codeshare and interline partners worldwide, Delta’s Connection partners, and the SkyTeam Alliance partners.

This position is heavily focused on managing a wide range of operational risk and the successful candidate will be exposed to processes that allow a global carrier to effectively determine the risk scores across a broad spectrum of operational activities.

This position may require some travel. The successful candidate will practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

· Must be enrolled as a full -time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution throughout the co-op program

· At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale

· Must be available to work on a full-time basis as an undergraduate student during the following 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2024, Summer 2025, Spring 2026

· Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the co-op rotations

· Candidate is team-oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies

· Strong organizational, project management, problem solving skills, and verbal/written communication skills are essential

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Seeking an advanced degree in an Aviation Safety or Aviation Operations discipline.

  • General knowledge in Smartsheet
