What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
This Director position will be responsible for building and leading an impactful and motivated team of engineers effectively working, collaborating, and delivering security related solutions for the VMware Tanzu suite of products.
Establish VMware as a key leader in Kubernetes security and in the communities of related projects including SPIFFE/SPIRE, Pinniped, and other security related projects.
Partner with product management and technical leaders to ensure Tanzu products meet government and enterprise security needs.
Establish and implement security solutions and security best practices that enable Tanzu products to meet the stringent requirements of government and enterprise customers.

The hiring leader for this role is Brad Meiseles, VP of Engineering. Brad has been at VMware for more than 11 years, and is one of the original members of Modern Application Platform Business Unit.
