Job Title: Finance Manager - M&A, Treasury Accounting

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mergers, acquisitions, dispositions – Support the finance team in overseeing corporate developments and ensuring the accounting implications of potential deals are properly considered in advance of closing transactions and that they are recognized timely in the books and records post close

  • Maintain consistent communication with the Corporate Developments team and ensure timely identification and disposition of accounting issues.

  • Assist in buy-side due diligence and oversee any third party support engaged in the diligence process.

  • Review contracts and meet with the business to understand the implications of relevant provisions.

  • Perform opening balance sheet procedures working directly with seller to resolve any discrepancies.

  • Perform purchase price allocations and oversee third party service providers engaged to perform the valuation work.

  • Assist with integration activities of new acquisitions.

  • Treasury Accounting – Oversee and manage treasury accounting team and third party service providers ensuring that all pension, debt, derivatives, and AR securitization facility are all properly accounted for

  • Lead treasury accounting team in completing monthly and quarterly close activities.

  • Identify and implement process improvements in the treasury accounting area including opportunities for automation.

  • Maintain and execute effective internal controls.

  • Provide oversight and coaching to team members and work in a collaborative manner with other parts of the business.

  • Serve as a liaison with our external auditors to support their quarterly reviews and annual audit.

  • LEADERSHIP – Foster and build teamwork between the finance, accounting and operating functions as well as third party service providers

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEGREE – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters a plus

  • PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS – CPA a plus

  • WORK EXPERIENCE – Previous experience in M&A, general accounting, treasury accounting or similar role or 5-8 years of Big 4 audit experience

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS –

  • Strong analytical skills with a great attention to detail;

  • Strong accounting research skills;

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products;

  • Experience with Essbase/SmartView reporting tools or Oracle Cloud a plus;

  • MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE – Experience managing a team

  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS – Very strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with senior management on a regular basis
