The opportunity

Recognizing the changing and fast-paced professional landscape, you will work with our clients to enhance their sourcing, procurement, vendor management and spend management capabilities through digital technologies. You will support client teams and engagement leadership to bring our broad range of capabilities and insights to enhance the role and effectiveness of the finance and operations function. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in Business, Technology, Strategy and Risk to execute on our latest solutions to not only improve operational efficiencies, but to enhance the changing roles of the CFO and CPO indispensable partners tasked with providing better business insights, profitability and performance measurement.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support client engagement teams at a wide variety of clients to deliver digital procurement and finance transformations

  • Represent our Procurement and Finance Services portfolio with a focus on Digital Transformation, Process Reengineering and GenAI

  • Support business development activities and establish strong client relationships at several Global and strategic accounts.

  • Serve in an execution role to deliver our latest solutions and capabilities including operational improvement, profitability management, finance function activities and business integration.

  • Advise clients on a variety of business process issues that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization's capabilities. Use business process, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across several of the following focus areas

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrate in-depth procurement knowledge in one or more of the following areas: sourcing, contract management, purchasing, vendor management, spend management and accounts payable

  • Good knowledge across various business verticals such as Finance, HR, etc.

  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements with strong process flows, process mapping, and end-to-end orchestration. Process reengineering experience is a strong plus.

  • Ability to clearly understand and define the client’s problem statement, pain points, and areas of process inefficiencies

  • Ability to understand business needs and bridge them with technology solutions

  • Strong technical knowledge of integrations and APIs and understanding of GenAI scenarios

  • Demonstrate ability to quickly learn new processes and uncover new offering that may assist current customer base.

  • Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.

  • Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 5+ years working for a top tier consulting firm, or being part of a transformation at a large enterprise

  • At least 4+ years of experience being part of procurement transformations, finance transformations or technology implementation ideally in market leading solutions e.g. Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, Coupa, Zip, etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior consulting experience relevant to process transformations and implementations in sourcing, procurement, contract management or vendor management

  • Experience managing multiple business stakeholders as part of the internal fulfillment of the procurement function

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree focusing on engineering, supply chain, finance, and/ or business, or similar recent business consulting experience

  • Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, Coupa, ZIP, Zycus or other procurement or finance SaaS based solutions

  • Experience with GenAI, advanced analytics, or integration in finance or procurement fields

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
