Honeywell Lead Attorney - AI & Data Governance in Atlanta, Georgia

Honeywell is hiring a Lead Attorney - AI and Data Governance that will sit in Atlanta, GA working on a hybrid-schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as data governance counsel for the Digital Services team.

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Honeywell’s products and development processes, including their strengths, limitations, and vulnerabilities from a legal, privacy and security standpoint

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to product, design, and engineering teams developing data product

  • Help develop and maintain a data and AI governance framework that includes a comprehensive set of policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions for Digital Services

  • Track and provide guidance on global laws pertaining to artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, industry trends, data governance, cybersecurity and privacy

  • Review contracts, terms of use, privacy policies, data processing agreements, sales agreements, integration agreements, joint marketing agreements, partnership agreements, and other technology-related agreements for data use and data rights terms

  • Lead implementation of emerging laws such as EU Data Act, EU AI Act, etc.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 3+ years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on technology product counseling, artificial intelligence, privacy, and/or cybersecurity

  • Law degree and a license to practice law in any state in the US or District of Columbia.

  • Understanding of data privacy and data security laws around the world (including the United States, EU and Asia)
