This role owns the data governance and insights to drive analytics for the middle mile network, as it relates to financial story-stelling.

Key job responsibilities

  • Data governance strategy, development of data insights, optimization of reporting via automation and simplification

  • Leverages SQL, ETLM, build/maintain dashboards and finance transformation

A day in the life

Participate in weekly data deep dives and use data to tell stories for Finance and business partners. Develop models to simplify story telling. Maintain data governance via streamlined data request process.

About the team

The Middle Mile Product & Tech Finance Planning & Optimization team works across the entire middle mile transportation network scope, with multiple Finance, Business and Tech partners. We engage deep and wide to provide solutions to generating insights quicker, scalable and repeatable.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Atlanta, GA, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Nashville, TN, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis, product costing, procurement, or a quantitative role experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
