Google Technical Program Manager II, Cloud Networking in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience in scoping and delivering network infrastructure, including submarine cable design, cable landing station site selection, land acquisition, station design, and fit-out.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Experience managing fiber negotiations.

  • Familiarity with right-of-way acquisition and licensing for network infrastructure, and real estate acquisition and entitlements.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary networking projects using your technical expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.

  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.

  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).

  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.

  • Drive technical directions of programs by discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
