The Wealth Advisory Consultant is responsible for supporting Truist Wealth Financial Advisors in all aspects of the Asset Management Consulting (AMC) Advisory product platform. This position is part of the Investment Consulting Group (ICG) and reports to the Wealth Advisory Senior Product Manager. The ICG team is comprised of teammates with varied financial services industry backgrounds. The candidate will be able to gain a broad base of knowledge in working with a number of different internal teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound requests on team phone queue on a daily basis (4 hrs/day) and accept proportion of team monthly call volume. Also accept and work proportion of team emails.

  • Arrange coverage for scheduled time out of the office.

  • Perform constructive outbound communications and support pro-active initiatives.

  • Assist FA Teams with constructing and generation of client investment proposals

  • Assist FA Teams with investment advisory platform system navigation.

  • Be able to recommend appropriate investment options for specific client needs as presented by Financial Advisors.

  • Be able to review new and existing client investments to identify potential Investment Advisory opportunities.

  • Remain current with internal firm investment best thinking, industry trends, market events and available product sets.

  • Maintain working knowledge of related operational procedures, including systematic service requests, billing, and coordination of resources and vendors to address issue resolution.

  • Schedule and conduct one-on-one reviews & trainings with Financial Advisor teams.

  • Provide support to the team’s External Consultants through travel, trainings, general advisor sessions.

  • Provide support to the team’s other members and programs through travel, trainings, general advisor sessions.

  • Remain current with firm policies and apply to daily business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to be productive in a service oriented, high volume, fast-paced environment, supporting over 1,000 Financial Advisor teams managing over $50B in client assets Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 Years of experience in the financial or an equivalent industry.

  • Series 7, 65 or equivalent security licenses

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to work outside the parameters of specific role

  • Limited travel (2 – 4 days per month)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years of experience in the Investments including building/managing client portfolios.

  • Experience with the Fidelity WealthScape and Envestnet systems, or equivalent brokerage/advisory platform software.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Hold or actively working toward industry designations (CFP, CIMA, CFA, etc.)
