Autoliv ASP Inc. seeks Application Engineers II in Auburn Hills, MI.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and release.
- Creation and release of drawings and specifications related to RRAB and SAB modules.
- Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and SC/CC List creation and testing to reduce Risk Priority Number (RPN) to ensure robust design.
- Lead design reviews throughout the development of the programs.
- Lead validation of the design for CV, DV and PV as well as postproduction design changes as necessary.
- Single point contact with customer for design specific topics.
Support Cross Functional Team for any design related items.
Telecommuting allowed within the U.S.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related roles, plus 3 years of experience as Validation Test Engineer or related roles.
This role requires 3 years of experience in each of the following:
- DFMEA
- Drawing standards for part definition
- Computer Aided Design for model creation and analysis
- Safety Restraint design expertise
- Root Cause Analysis for determining root cause, interim containment and permanent corrective action.
