DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

SUMMARY:

This position is part of the Database and Middleware team with a focus on Oracle databases and cloud environments. The role will require working some nights and weekends to perform upgrades and installs during non-production hours as well as provide third level support. The Ideal candidate will be an Oracle DBA and have experience with Oracle Fusion cloud/Oracle OCI.

Level of position will be determined based on previous experience and qualifications.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related degree and 4+ years of applicable experience

  • Extensive database administration experience with Oracle Databases

  • Ability to start, stop, backup and restore Oracle Databases

  • Proficient in SQL language - including both DDL and DML

  • Ability to troubleshoot database issues - including performance issues

  • Knowledge of Oracle database components and configuration files

  • Knowledge of SQLNet and configuration files

  • Proficient on Linux/AIX or another UNIX Operating System

  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States

Additional required certifications or skills:

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proven project definition and management capabilities

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with WebLogic

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • Experience with Reports and Discover

Location: Austin, MN (Global Headquarters)
